Stripped down the medical term Arthritis refers to inflammation of joints. This term however is used to describe and classify over 200 joint related rheumatic conditions. While osteoarthritis is the most commonly known form of arthritis, there are other common conditions as well like rheumatoid arthritis, Lupus, and even Gout. Regardless of which specific type a person is suffering from, all forms of arthritis can severely impact one’s ability to perform day to day activities. While there have been many studies on arthritis there have only been very few breakthroughs in regard to what might actually cause these issues. Therefore, many of the treatments available today are for the sole purpose of controlling the symptoms in an effort to improve quality of life.
